If you've come to the region with some relaxation or fresh air and walks in mind, there's plenty on offer. Every major town in Ireland has some great accomodation and local facilities. If you intend to wander aimlessly (there can be no better way, surely) through this area, if driving you should occassionally stop and take a bracing walk. There are plenty of opportunitys for the viewing the most beautiful scenery, via scenic walks (and drives) The amount of breath-taking moments almost carelessly scattered around this area, are many, and often suitable for all ages and aptitudes. (Or try horse and wagon instead!)
You may well recognise various parts of County Clare already, as some of the television comedy series Father Ted, was filmed around the region.
