Lough Cutra Beach near Gort

Though the small lake-side beach is rather muddy; a little bay enclosed by a sandbar makes a very good large paddling pool for small children. This is a popular spot with local people during the warmer months. There is a substantial public car-park and access road provided by the local authority.

Access: Narrow public road under a height barrier, right from 'Lough Cutra Drive', a loop road that connects the Gort - Portumna road to the Gort - Scarriff road. It is signposted at both ends.
